What conditions qualifies for the Maryland Medical Marijuana Program?


According to Maryland Medical Cannabis Commission (MMCC), any condition that is severe, for which other medical treatments have been ineffective, and if the symptoms “reasonably can be expected to be relieved” by the medical use of Cannabis. In addition, any chronic or debilitating disease or medical condition that causes severe loss of appetite, wasting, severe or chronic pain, severe nausea, seizures or severe or persistent muscle spasms, or glaucoma or Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).

Steps to Legally Obtain Medical Cannabis:

Step 1. Patients should submit an application to the Maryland Medical Cannabis Commission (MMCC). The application process to register with MMCC can be completed online at https://mmcc.maryland.gov.
The patient must provide basic information, including name, address, date of birth, an image of a government ID, and a recent picture for ID purposes. MMCC staff will review the application and notify the patient of their unique 25-digit ID registration number.

Register with the Maryland Medical Marijuana Program?

Step 3. After your appointment our physician will complete your certification electronically to register you with the Maryland Medical Cannabis Commission.

Step 4. After receiving a written certification, you can go to any licensed dispensary to purchase medical cannabis.

Step 5: After receiving a written certification, a patient can log in to the Patient Registry (with the username and password you select during registration) and purchase an ID Card for a fee of $50. Be sure to have your credit or debit card available for payment. Your Patient ID Card will be mailed to you.
